Zelda Infinite

As some of you may know, we were approached a short while ago by a company who wanted to buy out our site. I've talked this over with the other admins, and we've together decided its the right thing to do. Running this site actually costs quite a lot of money for the bandwidth and storage space we use, and there are some new plans we've been working on that will require the hiring of a warehouse and some part time staff.

Our new owners at Neeble are a forward-looking and innovative Web 2.0 company. Until they make a public announcement about their overall business strategy, I can't say anything more, but rest assured that they know what they're doing. I've seen some of their ideas, and I can tell that they have what it takes to be the best web start-up of 2007.

As part of the change, we've undertaken a rebranding to more closely reflect the new Web 2.0 nature of the site. Zeldr ∞ has the missing vowels, reflecting logos and rounded corners* required by the Web 2.0 standards committee, and very soon we'll think of something that you can vote up and down to your heart's content.

But don't worry. Despite these visual changes, it's still the old team behind the scenes. Nothing's changing here - we're not going anywhere and we haven't "sold out". We're just as dedicated to improving your experience as ever, and with Neeble, we can really make a difference.

* Rounded corners not available in some browsers

In a recent interview with Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma, the popular Split Timeline theory, in which Ocarina of Time's ending led to two different worlds, has actually been confirmed. Along with this, we find out that the events of Twilight Princess actually have nothing to do with The Wind Waker.

Hello everyone. Long time no see. Are you ready for the next new Zelda adventure? GameSpot has posted an article discussing the multiplayer aspect of The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for the Nintendo DS. The multiplayer aspect involves two players taking turns controlling Link and collecting Triforce gems while your opponent tries to halt your progress. Multiplayer is only for local play, and no plans for online Wi-Fi play has been announced.

As of today, the game's release date is still unknown, so all listed dates you see floating around the web are merely speculations. The thing we do know is the game is scheduled to be released sometime later this year.

IGN Wii reports that Nintendo will be releasing one of its greatest games ever on Monday, for the Virtual Console. That's correct, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will be available for just 1000 Wii points in North America. OoT was also recently released on the Virtual Console for Australian and UK gamers, so if any of you haven't yet experienced this masterpiece, or you just can't stand not owning every version, I suggest you all go download it.
