Yay, finally! Chapter 6 of Oracle of Ages is ready.

Man, what a busy summer. My manga releases ended up being pretty few and far between, despite my best efforts. -_-
People are always telling me that I shouldn't have to apologize. .... I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!

Hopefully now that school has started again, I can get back into a rhythm. All I can promise is that I'll do my best.

In the meantime, enjoy.

Ladies and gentleman, it's finally official! The Nintendo Wii will be released in the Americas on November 19, will be bundled with Wii Sports, and will cost $250.

The Japanese release date for the system will be December 2, and will cost approximately $213, but will not be bundled with Wii Sports.
As of this update, I believe we are still awaiting word on the release date on other continents, and it seems that Twilight Princess still does not have an official release date. They are saying "by the end of the year". I imagine something more specific will be coming soon.

Stick with us for further updates. I hope to watch the live broadcast of the press event in New York, which is at about 12:00pm Eastern (9am Pacific). Maybe there'll be some more juicy info coming out then.

What an exciting morning this has been!

As reported on Joystiq, it has been confirmed that the Wii version of Twilight Princess will be a launch title - as in, it will release on November 19, along with the Wii itself.

For those of you that are still unsure as to which version of Twilight Princess you want to get, here's some more information for you. While the Wii version of TP is a launch title, the Gamecube version will not be released until December 11.

IGN is reporting that our beloved "south paw" hero, Link, is now right-handed. That's right, Nintendo has decided to change Link's dominant hand.

This change is likely due to the new Wii-mote controller, sword-swinging mechanic. Due to the majority of people in the world being right-handed, I guess it just made sense for Nintendo to accommodate the largest percentage of people.

Z-I will have more on TP and Wii as it becomes available.

Wow, like GR said, this has been a very exciting day for Nintendo fans.

Anyway, for those of you too lazy to search the internet for yourself, I've decided to post a few of the new things that we've learned about Wii.

First off, Wii first-party games will be Region Free. This mean that any game produced by Nintendo will be playable on your Wii, regardless of where you bought it. So if you see a game that you like in Japan, but don't want to wait for it to release in the Americas or Europe, then you'll have absolutely no problems playing it on your Wii, even though it is from a different region. Nintendo has said that it is up to third-party publishers as to whether or not they make their games Region Free.

Secondly, Virtual Console games are tied to an individual user's account. So if your Wii breaks down, you don't have to re-buy all your VC titles. You'll be able to play them on your new system.

Furthermore, the Wii interface looks pretty amazing. It includes all kinds of channels to choose from. For example, if you want to play a GCN or Wii game, then you would choose the Disk Drive Channel, whereas if you wanted to play a Virtual Console title, you would choose that channel.

There is also a Picture Channel where you can view and play with your pictures. All you have to do is insert the SD memory card from your digital camera into your Wii. This mode looks especially cool, if I do say so myself.

The Internet Channel features the Opera browser. This, of course, allows you to surf the internet using your Wii. Also, it is able to play Flash movies and games, which the DS browser is not able to do. Initially, the Opera browser will be available for free (until June). After that, Wii owners who want to download the browser will be required to pay a small fee.

Wii will also feature a News Channel, a Weather Channel, and of course a Shopping Channel to download Virtual Console games (they will cost between 5$ and 10$) and other Wii features.

Another really cool channel is the Mii Channel. Here you can create custom avatars for yourself. You can choose the shape and size of the face, eyes, nose, etc. to make your avatar look just how you want it to. You can store multiple avatars on your Wii, and they all seem to mingle with each other when you're not doing anything with them. These Mii characters are transferable to your Wii-mote so that you can take them with you when you play on a friend's Wii.

I regret to inform all the Metroid fans out there that Prime 3: Corruption will be delayed into 2007. On the bright side, the controls have apparently been improved, and they now almost exactly emulate a keyboard and mouse configuration. Great news for FPS fans.

I'm sure none of your will be interested in this, but I also found a new video for some game called Twilight Princess. Take a look if your interested. ;P

IGN has posted new screenshots for Twilight Princess. I would like to direct your attention to the image of Hyrule Field. Pretty nifty huh?

In an interview with NoE, IGN has learned that the Wii will not be region free. This is contrary to comments made by NoA, who said that Wii would be region free. The NoE rep said that NoA made a mistake. We'll have to wait and see if NoA retracts their previous comments.

Just a quick update for Canadian gamers. Nintendo of Canada has revealed that Wii will launch on November 19th (just like the rest of the Americas) at an MSRP of $279.95, while first-party Wii games (obligatory Twilight Princess reference) will retail for an MSRP of $59.95.

I've got an update regarding the Wii's region-free status. According to Joystiq, a Nintendo of America Rep told them that the Wii and all of its games will be region-locked. Apparently Perrin Kaplan, who made the original region-free comments, is just wrong. Bad news for people who like to import.

Also, the ESRB has given The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess a rating of 'T' for Teen. This will mark the first time that a Zelda game has received a rating higher than 'E' for Everyone.

We'll have more on Wii and Twilight Princess as it develops.

A recent interview with Shigeru Miyamoto has confirmed that Twilight Princess Link will be right-handed for the Wii version and left-handed for the GameCube. And I quote, "because of the mirror mode the game map is reversed." What this means is that the two game versions will be mirror images of each other, including the map, terrain, enemies, etc.

For example, if going left on a path takes you to Hyrule Castle in the GameCube version, in the Wii version, it will be to the right. If you're like me, you can already see problems with someone reading a Wii Twilight Princess guide for a GameCube version of the game. "Wait... which WAY am I supposed to go?!"

Interested in knowing what the final box art for the Wii version of Twilight Princess looks like? Then click here. I am sure some of you will not like it because there is not enough colour, but I personally think every Zelda should be packaged in gold. My favourite series deserves nothing less!
