Some of you may remember way back when, that Nintendo indicated that there would be a new Zelda developed for the GBA in addition to the LttP remake. Well, it seemed that this game had gone the way of the do-do. Rcently however; Nintendo fansite, Nintendojo reports that Capcom will again be heading up the development of this new entry into the Zelda series, just as they did wit the Oracle games. Nothing is known about the story or if any new gameplay elements will be included in this game, but expect to hear more as E3 approaches.

Folks, today at around 10:00am, Nintendo held it's annual E3 press conference. Remember Zelda from Spaceworld 2000? The realistic one with Ganondorf and Link crossing blades?... Well, it appears as if that game is still in development and will likely be realeased early next year.

So you you are, with a movie. Hopefully later Draknek or LHOH will update with screens.

Media is appearing at an astounding rate, so I'm just going to point in the right direction for now. You can find breaking news on: The Legends of Zelda, Zelda Headquarters, Ganon's Tower, Zelda Elements.

To summarize, for the new realistic Zelda there is the kickass trailer mentioned in the previous update, several screenshots, and one piece of cool official art. For the new GBA game, The Minish Cap, there is a trailer, and quite a few screenshots and official artworks. All can be found at the links above.

I made a wallpaper from the new official art. You can find it here.

What a great day for Nintendo Fans around the world, and Zelda fans in particular. Our prayers have finally been answered in the form of the realistic Zelda tentatively titled, The Legend of Zelda. And on top of this ground shattering announcement, Nintendo has also confirmed the first original GBA Zelda, The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. Both games look just gorgeous, so you are looking at one very happy Zelda Fan ladies and gentlemen!

Little is known about the story of the GameCube Zelda, although from the amazing trailer and screens, I would guess at some type of War being waged in Hyrule. In any case, it looks just magnificent, and I'm sure fans around the world have been hooting and hollering since they heard the news, I know I certainly was!

The story of the GBA instalment is less shrouded in mystery. Apparently Link, everyone's favourite, long eared Hylain has discovered a special cap called the Minish Cap. This cap allows Link to shrink down to the size of the Minish people to which the cap belongs. These little people are in a bit of a bind, as I understand it, so of course it's Link to the rescue! The graphics of this game are reminiscent of Wind Waker, but they work perfectly for the GBA. This is one pretty game, let me tell you.

Well I'm sure that you've heard enough of me for a while, so without further ado, I've posted some links to screen shots for your convenience. Enjoy!

At this years E3, fans of Nintendo couldn't have been more pleased and full of joy! This is largely due to one man who helped get them into the Nintendo mood. A man who's about kicking ass and taking names. This mans name is Reggie.

"When Reggie walks, his massive footprints fill with beautiful flowers for the children to enjoy,"

Reggie is the Nintendo Vice Predident of sales and marketing. He has super human strength, can fly, and can speak every language in the world (Including Martian). He's no ordinary man... He's a god. We must all surrender our sould to the Regg-olution!

Thank you and have a nice day.

I thought it a good time to pour fourth all the Legend of Zelda (GCN) knowledge that I've amassed over the past few days.

Where to begin... Well for starters, this game has not been in development since back in 2000 when we all witnessed the amazing SW2000 Zelda demo. That game was developed for a time, but then shelved in favour of Wind Waker. It is only since they've finished with Wind Waker that they've been working on this game. Whether they used anything from the SW2000 demo, I'm not sure. In any case, this game is based on the same engine as the one which Wind Waker ran on, slightly modified of course.

So why did Nintendo decide to develop this more realistic Zelda instead of a sequel to Wind Waker as they said they would? Well, apparently the will of the public had a lot to do with it, but the boys (and girls) at Nintendo just felt that an older Link warranted a maturer look. All I can say is, lucky us.

The new game is also supposed to feature the horse (which may or may not be Epona) as a major game play element. Obviously, if you've seen the trailer, you saw Link going to town with the horse combat, so expect a lot of this in the game, and possibly other horse related game play elements.

So when can you expect to get your hands on this masterpiece? Well, in an interview with a Nintendo Rep, it was stated that at the next E3, those lucky few who get to go will have the opportunity to play this game to their hearts’ content. I expect that this translates to Japan getting it semi-early next year while the North American audience will get it soon after E3 with Europe a month or two behind. A long wait to be sure, but definitely worth it I'm sure.

So, any of you finally have something to contribute to the mailbag? Send it here. We can't wait to hear from you.

IGNCube has yet another interesting interview with the Legend of Zelda director Eiji Aonuma. He discusses the past and future of the franchise and hints at a few things for the upcoming game. It's a great interview! Check it out!
