Hey folks, got a bit of news on Four Swords Plus to pass along... According to fellow Nintendo fan-site Nintendojo.com, the North American version of Four Swords Plus will not contain Navi's Trackers. Apparently Nintendo does not believe that it will appeal to audiences of the North American market. Also reported was that the overworld in Hyrule Adventure would be significantly bigger than the one found in Link to the Past. More as it breaks.

In a recent IGNCube Mailbag, editor Matt Cassamasina speculates that a realistic looking Zelda may be in development with Silicon Knights, the talented creators of Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes and Eternal Darnkess (My personal favorite Gamecube game). Seems likely as Nintendo is let Capcom develop the Oracle series on Gameboy and gave Metroid to Retro Studios. Nintendo seems to be much more friendly with second party sudios than ever before.

Now, for the record, I've been "gone" for a while. Luckily (Or... not) I'm back! Which obviosly calls for some major media finding! Heh, if that makes sense. In case not, this mean I'm going to be finding a lot more media for D to put up. (Hopefully) ^_^

IGNCube recently recieved a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords for the Nintendo GameCube, and subsequently provided another preview with some interesting details.
Apparently, Four Swords plays quite well as a single player game, in addition to the very enjoyable multiplayer aspect. The gameplay is well balance and fun.
In the single player version of Hyrule Adventure, you control all four Links at once and can change their formations for different objectives, somewhat similar to the different team formations in Sonic Heroes. Also, the single player mode can be played with either a GBA or a controller. When a GBA is used, some of the action takes place on the small screen, while when using a GC controller, a screen will appear in the middle of the TV, simulating what happens on the GBA screen.
For their full preview of the game, head over to cube.ign.com and take a look.

Nintendo of America has recently released the official North American release date for their newest Zelda game, The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure. June 7th you can pick up your very own copy complete with a free GBA-GCN link cable. Unfortunatly (for some anyway), Nintendo has also confirmed that Navi's Trackers will be removed from the North American version of the game. No reasons were given for this previously rumoured action, but it is believed that it would have been too much work to translate all the Japanese speech featured in Tetra's Trackers into English.
How do you feel about Nintendo's decision? Why not write to the ZI mailbag and let us all know how you feel. mailbox@zelda-infinite.com. We look forward to hearing from you.

Good news Zelda Fans! IGN's GameCube division reports that Eiji Aonuma, director of the hit GameCube game The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, recently confirmed that the rumoured Wind Waker 2 is in development. He posted a timeline (according to release date, not how the games fit into the story) and sitting at the end with a 2XXX release date was Wind Waker 2. Mr Aonuma also indicated that more info would be revealed as we got closer to E3. He also suggested that Zelda may appear on the new DS handheld at some point.

Last night, IGNCube updated with a full transcript of Eiji Aonuma's speech spoken at the the Game Developers Conference held in San Jose, California. In this six page long speech, Aonuma discusses what makes a Zelda game a Zelda game, talks about Zelda reality vs. realism and explains why he chose to make Wind Waker cel-shaded among other things. It's a great read. I highly suggest checking it out!
