Hey, everybody. Happy 2006!

I have another situation update for you. Some good news and bad news. I'll start with the bad news.

After my pathetic attempts at translating Zelda no Video, I've stepped down from the project. At least, for now. It was completely outside of my ability. It wasn't because of a lack of understanding of the language itself - it was a lack of understanding of what was being said. It's like annunciation doesn't exist in Japan or something.
Zelda no Video is obviously a job for somebody much more experienced with natural Japanese speech than I am. I'm mostly good with well-anunciated anime speech, and written Japanese, obviously. But Zelda no Video is a complete defeat on my part, and I feel pretty rotten about having to step down. I will, however, continue to support the project in any way I can. If anybody knows any willing translators that are good with naturally-spoken Japanese and would be able to help with the project, please contact TSA at The Hylia.

And now for the good news. Since I'm no longer an active participant in the Zelda no Video project, I am now going to go back on concentrating fully on what I am good at - manga. I'll have the next OoS chapter out by the end of the week (if not sooner), and that is a promise.

When I realized that Chapter 4 of the OoS manga wasn't very long and would probably only take three or four hours to finish... well, have fun.

Hello again folks. With the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess's release date drawing closer, new rumors continue to surface. A fairly recent rumor (started by NGC magazine) is that the game will make use of the Revolution's unique controller. According to EuroGamer, Nintendo claims that the rumor "is pure speculation." Note that Nintendo does not deny or confirm the rumor, so take it as you will.

Expect more developing news soon from us at the ZI staff, proud supporters of a certain green hero in tights.

NGC Magazine is standing by the story they published recently regarding Revolution control being added to Twilight Princess. They state that the senior member of the Nintendo family who told them about this probably let slip something that Nintendo wanted to keep quite. Hopefully this turns out to be true, but we'll have to wait for official confirmation from Nintendo to be sure.

Hey, all. I went through my e-mail inbox and updated the Links page with the links that have been submitted since... oh, mid-December or so.

Also, just to letcha know... Even though I'm destroying myself as usual with five classes this semester, I somehow got Fridays off. O_o I've never had a day off during the week before - it's kinda weird. But Fridays, since I have no classes, are gonna be my manga days - days during which I spend the afternoon and part of the evening working on manga.
Though, please bear in mind that I can't guarantee a chapter every Friday or anything like that. Some Fridays I may want to spend catching up on laundry or visiting a friend... but for the most part I'll work on manga during those quiet afternoons. So, that's when you can probably watch for new manga. Just... don't come after me if I can't get a chapter out that week for whatever reason. ^_^;; I mean, a chapter does require a solid 6+ hours of work, and I may not be able to make that committment every single week. But I will try, cuz I love you guys that much. XD

Manga Fridays will go into effect this coming Friday.

Well, today's Manga Friday. ...Or, I suppose it's become Manga Saturday... it's about 2 am here right now.

But I did spend part of Friday getting another manga chapter ready for reading. Chapter 5 is now complete.

I would have gotten it done before 2 am, but some friends came over, and then I got sucked into Resident Evil 4. You know how it is.

In a recent interview with NP, Yoshiyuki Oyama explains that they have more prepared for what Ganon is up to this time around than we could ever imagine. Sound good to me!

Mr. Oyama also stated that the enemies in TP will be more difficult than they have been in recent Zelda games.

We'll have more on TP as it becomes available.

Yay, it's Manga Friday! OoS Chapter 6 is all ready to go!
Heh, I think I broke a record of the number of footnotes in a single chapter. ^_^;;

Just so you know, next week's chapter might be a bit late, since I'll be spending a good chunk of Friday visiting a friend. I'll do what I can that evening, but no promises. I would expect it sometime that weekend, though.
