Hey folks just a quick update to let those of you who haven't heard know that there is a rumor circulating that the sequel to Wind Waker will be released this year. This is besides the already announced Four Swords Plus for the GameCube. A new Mario game is also supposedly in the works for a 2004 release. More as it breaks.

A bit of bad new this morning folks. According to fellow Nintendo site Nintendojo.com, the Japanese version of The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Plus will be pushed back from February to March. The North American version of this game also had a February release date, so it is more than likely that it will be pushed back as well.

I haven't done anything for a good 3 weeks. Bad Draknek. There probably won't be anything this weekend, either.

But nevertheless, there is Nintendo/Zelda news going about.

Nintendo has announced the Nintendo DS (Dual Screen), a new portable console with two screens. See Here, Here.

There are also new screens and some boxart for Four Swords. Go here to see them.

cube.ign.com has recently posted an article clearing up some of the questions people have about the upcoming Zelda release Four Swords Plus.

As already reported, there will be three different game modes avaiable, Hyrule Adventures, Shadow Battle, and Navi Trackers.

Hyrule Adventures is playable alone with a standard GameCube controller, but if your friends want to get in on the action, GBAs must be used. Also, Hyrule Adventures has received a big graphical upgrade, and it now contains all kinds of light effects and whatnot, while still keeping with the 2-D LttP style. Because of the power of the GameCube, the screen will be able to contain huge amounts of enemies and explosions, and all kinds of things which were not possible on the GBA version of the game.

Shadow Battle is a two-to-four player fight to the finish in which characters use various items in their attempts to knock off the other players. This game is playable only with GBAs.

Navie Trackers is playable by one player, but needs a GBA no matter what since most of the action takes place on the small screen. In this game players (computer or human) are pitted against each other in a race to collect stamps by solving puzzles.

Finally, the game will ship in North America on May 11, and will require a mere 3 blocks of memory.

Excited about this game? Have any questions about it? Any general comments you would like to make? Send in your thoughts to the Zelda-Infinite staff at mailbox@zelda-infinite.com and tell us what you think.
