The sequel to Legend of Zelda, Adventure of Link for the NES was released in December 1988. However, the majority of fans hated the game, critisizing the side-scrolling action. Regardless of (comparatively) poor sales, it was not a bad game. Fans were simply unready for the change from top-down to side-scroller, and the difficulty. It was the only Zelda to have a level-up system to increase your stats, and the only widely acknowledged game Zelda to be a side-scroller. Despite the poor reception, this game is amazing, and no-one should hesitate to play it.
