The simply named Legend of Zelda was the very first Zelda game, and as befits it, was huge. It was the first game ever to utilise a battery save feature, and used this to become one of the longest games existing at the time. It was an immediate hit, and set a trend of greatness for the future Zeldas to live up to. While it is now an old game, some of the ideas introduced in it are still around today, and it is one of the most challenging Zeldas.
