Hey, guys. Little update here, with a rumor going around about the contents of September's Nintendo Power. Here's what they're saying is confirmed in this issue:
-Princess Zelda will, in fact, return in Skyward Sword. They have not mentioned where or how, but she will be in the game in one way or another.
-The Zelda team has “no comment” about Ganon. I feel if Ganon were to not be appearing in the game, they would say he wouldn't be in the game. So expect our fuzzy friend to find his way to the title, presumably without Ganondorf.
-The new Beetle item will possibly be used for racing challenges.
-Voice acting will not start a new tradition in the Zelda series through Skyward Sword, so too bad for those of you hoping to see some voiced conversations with NPCs.
-Some people have been worrying that Miyamoto was going to be "upending the tea table" as I believe Aonuma himself mentioned, and prolong the release date even further back. So as of right now, Skyward Sword may still be leaning on the edge of a 2010/2011 date.
Will we see 2010 release date for Skyward Sword? Stay tuned to find out!

Hey, Zelda fans.
In the mass confusion and complete elation the Zelda community experienced yesterday, I did the best I could to keep it together and update the site with as much as I could muster. With the day over and everything (almost) back to normal, here's a consolidated block of everything we learned yesterday.
Spoiler alert: There are story elements below that you may or may not want to hear.
-The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the newest Zelda title set for the Nintendo Wii, with a 2011 release date. The game features a very unique graphical style, mixing styles from The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and even seemingly others such as A Link to the Past and Spirit Tracks. But the title definitely seems to bring its own style to the table.
The game explains the legend of the Master Sword, or at this point known as the Skyward Sword. This time around, our hero was raised high above Hyrule, in the clouds. There lies a place called Skyloft, which Link considers his home. One way or another, he finds out about the land below, and the evil which consumes it. Whether it is his decision alone or it is forced onto him is unknown, but regardless, he dives down to the earth below to cleanse the land with a blade known as the Skyward Sword. This blade is no regular hunk of metal, however, as it has the ability to transform into a live being. To clear up any confusion with any rumors that have gone around since the beginning of this year: From here on, only what we have heard from Nintendo themselves is truth. Past rumors have been riddled with false information. That is to say, it is more than likely that our Skyward Sword is not named Aderu, Adelle or Zordiana.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword displays nearly perfect 1:1 sword and shield combat with the required WiiMotion Plus appendage. New gameplay techniques such as rolling bombs like bowling balls, and drinking potions in real time without the fight pausing are now possible (The latter is not due to WM+).
-Another interesting surprise was the revelation of a "full-fledged" remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, originally for the Nintendo 64, for the brand new Nintendo 3DS console. As of right now, we are unaware of when the 3DS will be released (Though it seems they are shooting for a 2010 Japanese release), or when our suped-up OoT 3DS will be released.
-Will Ocarina of Time 3DS be a launch title for the 3DS? Will it be bunched with the remakes for other confirmed remakes such as Starfox 64 and Animal Crossing? You'll find out if you keep tabs on the news here, at Zelda-Infinite!

During the events of the Nintendo Round Table, Eiji Aonuma explained to us the backstory of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword!
A long time ago... a young boy named Link was raised in a place called Skyloft, high above the land, in the clouds. One day, the boy learns of the land under the clouds, and the evil that controls it. One thing leads to another, and Link takes it upon himself to save this place, through the help of a blade known as the Skyward Sword.
Along the way, he meets the Skyward Sword, and the being who lives in the blade. This sword is better known to us as the "Master Sword".

Hey, everyone. With E3 two days away, I'm very nervous about making this update at all. Apparently, there's a new batch of information from some German person. I'm not going to lie, I got this batch of information from Zelda-Informer, so I'm very cautious about how valid this information is, but they claim the chances of it being real being "99.99" possible, so I have no choice but to take their word for it.
* Zelda Wii's official title is "The Legend of Zelda". There will be no subtitle.
* The game tells a story several hundred years before Ocarina of Time.It also answers the question of how the Mastersword came into being.
* The fairy-like girl plays is a very important character in the game. Her Name is Zordiana.
* The Hookshot is also in the game and it has new abilities. It will not pull you immediately to the target you aimed. Now it is possible to swing with the Hookshot, like with the Grappling Hook from WW. The Hookshot makes no use of Wii Motion Plus.
* Sometimes you have to "draw" a specific symbol on a door with your sword, to open it.
* The Bow-Control is very similar to the Bow-Control in Wii Sports Resort, as the script shows.
* There are two levels of difficulty. Aonuma put it through. Miyamoto didn't want to include it.The Normal-Mode for amateurs. The Hero-Mode has no "Super Guide" included and the enemies tougher.
* The On-Stage Dungeon, which is also playable at E3, isn't a Dungeon as we know it from the Zelda series. When entering a Dungeon, you will not notice you are in one. It will be a smooth gradation. There will be Dungeons with no Bosses and Bosses with no Dungeon. The "Dungeon" you are able to play at E3 will be an Ice-Level. It will be the frist "Dungeon" in the Game.
Check out the original Zelda Informer update here. http://www.zeldainformer.com/2010/06/breaking-news-latest-zelda-wii-rumors-confirmed.php
We'll just have to wait and see, I guess.
